I was so not bored!

Friday night was a ton of fun. I was so nervous about the mixer that I think I psyched myself out.It actually wasn't too bad. Service with Bro Stoneking was great. I so love hearing him preach. Anyhow back to the mixer. My awesome tour guide introduced me to a ton of peeps including Bro Bishop. I am not quite sure exactly what he does at the college but he said he'd give me a $1000 scholarship. Swwweeettttt!!! Thank You Jesus! Every little bit helps. I am so very grateful. Also, we(meaning Kev,Amy,Sis Rachelle and I) had some very intresting happenings in the car. Ex: Suzie's and multi-gendered restrooms.Hahaaahaaaa so hilarious!!! Thanks so much A for driving. I had a great time :)

CLC Live Recording

The pic is of Sis Cheryl slugging Kev. They got violent! Good thing I was up front with Amy.
The live recording was awesome! The songs were beautiful. We got home pretty late (2am) but it was well worth it. We had some interesting conversations in the car and at the restaurant. Kev and Amy are hilarious together! Friday night Bro Stoneking is preaching the final night of Landmark. I believe a group of us are going up. After service is the CLC mixer for those interested in attending the college. We can meet the students and staff. I'm excited about that! A bit nervous of course but I cannot wait until Friday :)

I fell in love with...

.....a new African country. It is called Equatorial Guinea. What is neat about this place is that the primary language is spanish. Weird huh?! I think it is awesome. The economic situation there is so sad. Most live in poverty. That makes my heart hurt. I also read they have a big problem with people trafficking. Very sad. Keep them in your prayers. The good thing is that they have some kind of national works with our organization. What that means I am not quite sure. I emailed them to find out exactly what it means so we will see what they say :)

Frank had a long day today. He helped me pack so the poor thing was exhausted. My day has been filled with a lot of packing and snacking. Would you believe the two are linked? I do. It's the same thing when I go on road trips. I have to eat while I drive. Very weird.

Out of Sync

Hello fellow American's,
haha I have always wanted to say that! It is 11:14pm and my eyes are growing heavier by the minute. Do not ask me why I am still up for I have been since about 3am. My pastor(Bro Krantz) took Josiah,Kevin and I with him to CLC for the day. We had to leave at 4:30am in order to arrive about 7am for Written Comm 2 (the class he teaches). I was so nervous I could not really focus on the drive there nor was I able to focus on sleep the night before. Needless to say nervous energy kept me going for a few hours. I have to say I am very proud to have Bro K as my pastor. I loved telling everyone I went to his church. I very much enjoyed sitting in on his class. I do not remember my brain having that much stimulation in a quite a long while. Sis Amber was my tour guide for the morning. Had it been anyone else my anxiety levels may have risen to very high levels. Thanks Sis Amber!!! Anyhow my decision is made and I am so excited! I realize this will be a huge step outside of my comfort zone but I am willing to try. Pastor asked on the way home if I just want to go to this school or if I have a calling that I want to cultivate. I'm not sure if those were his exact words but it's pretty close. I picked answer # 2. I do feel apprehensive for the future but trust everything will work out and when the time does come my nerves will have calmed down. I already miss Sis K and I have not even left. How sad is that?! I guess my visits home will be often. I have gotten quite attached to Sis K and will miss her dearly. Although it's not like I'm THAT far away. 2hrs is not bad. Well folks I do hope this post made a bit of sense. My eyes are heavy and my fingers are not wanting to work right so bare with me. Oh by the way, I wanted to share a little quote I got from Sis Dodd today. "I feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like I swallowed a kitten." HAHAHAA is that not hilarious?!!!

My Friend drew this awesome pic. The chef from outer space!

Dentist etc

So, I went to two dentists today. An orthodontist and my regular guy. It seems like everytime I go see my regular dentist I have to get more work done. I wonder if they just really like seeing me so they make stuff up. Seriously, it's crazy! Anyhow, after reading Sis Dodd's blog I feel mine is rather juvenile. She writes so well I am a bit intimidated. Shhhh don't tell anyone though ;) I hung out with the Krantz boys last night. We played A LOT. It was pretty awesome. I wasn't able to put my full energy into playing though. It seems my energy isn't quite up to what it should be yet. I felt so terrible not being able to run around and do what I actually like to do. Oh well...soon enough. I took 20 videos on my camera of Rayman Raving Rabbid reinactments! They are so hilarious. If you want to see any ask me and I'll show you but I'm not going to post them up to where the whole world can see them :) After recording we built forts, played countless games of hide and seek(with glow sticks!!!), read a bit, played dodgeball, went to the park, and a few other things. My night was full and very entertaining. I guess I am a kid at heart :)

Mon night fun with the Krantz' boys!!

The fort with Boston in the middle was mine and Josiah's. Boston decided to wreck it by jumping right on it :) Our fort was super tiny though. I could barely fit in it let alone Josiah AND me. Kevin and Jeremiah built a fort in the dining room. It was bigger but definitely not better than Josiah's and mine. See all those Bionicle's on the floor? Those were our props for the mini movies on Rayman Raving Rabbid we did. Don't tell Sis K though that her living room looked like that :) Ha she may never let me come over again. Na, I had an awesome time with the boys. They really are such a blessing to have in my life. I enjoy doing things with them.

Yay For Me!

Today was a super long day but I am so glad it is over. I had my iron infusion at 9am this morning and it went until about 4:45pm! They gave me Benadryl in the beginning which made me incredibly tired. I could not sleep though because my anxiety level was pretty high. Then they gave me a 15min test dose to make sure I didn't react to it. After that they waited an hour before they have me my main dose. I pretty much layed around and ate all day long. Oh well, I was on diet vacation :) Mom and Sis K were there the entire time.Erica and Kev joined us at some point. To pass the time I walked around, ate, slept a tiny bit (once I knew I wasn't going to pass out and die), played a bit of video games, played Scrabble and talked as much as I could without mixing up my words(the Benadryl made me loopy). When I got home my back and head were hurting so bad I wanted to punch everyone because no one could make it go away. Trust me, you don't want to know that Holly. Anyhow, thanks so much Sis K,Mom, Kev and Erica for hanging out with me today. I know it was SO BORING! You guys are truely awesome.
Ha the first two pics are of me beginning to get grouchy. I was hot and not feeling that well. The other two are when I went on a walk with my boyfriend(my iv pole). He was pretty cute huh?!

Women of Congo

I was recently looking on our foreign missions website and they had a little section with African countries that do not have missionaries. I am not sure how much it is updated but it said that there are no missionaries in Congo. I did a little research on Congo and it is so sad!! In Eastern Congo because of the civil war that had been going on so many brutal and just plain HORRIBLE things were happening. Women of Eastern Congo were being raped on a daily basis as a means to exercise power. One article said that in some villiages 90 percent of women had been raped. They are group raped and their family members are forced to watch or even participate. So many of these women kill themselves or they just stop functioning all together. Oh my word! Reading about this broke my heart so much. I want to hop a plane and go to Congo. I could not do much myself but I will tell you that these women that are in the hospital barely functioning can become whole again if only they can hear about God and all that He can do. This country will be forever in my heart. I hope someday someone can go over to Congo and somehow reach these women. They just need a little bit of hope. This makes me so sad. I am sitting here at my computer with tears pouring down my face realizing that I take for granted how good I actually have it here in the States.

Bang!!

Welcome to the new year. Wed night after Bible study those who wanted went and go fast food and came back to the church. Then we played games until 12:30. For being a small group we sure had a good time. Every gathering we have I fall more in love with my church family. Kev and I didn't fall asleep until 4:30am this morning. I was coughing like a smoker all night which made it impossible to sleep. Kev toughed it out and stayed up with me. When it came time to wake up this morning it was impossible. I ended up sleeping in way way late! I got up and visited Jess in the hospital. Then the Krantz' came over for dinner and dessert. I very much enjoy spending time with my Pastor and his family.
